Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.” –Joshua 1:9, NIV 2010
From Lebanon, to the Euphrates, to the Mediterranean, that was going to be their land. God already gave it to them –they only had to do some “purging” (that will be another day). Who else would promise them something other people had? From there on, the book is filled with action, blood, and conquest-because God has given them their land even before they didn’t even thought about it.
Israel was only minutes from their blessing. God promised that the land was theirs, and that He will never leave from their side. There were some requirements, though:
- They had to be strong and courageous in everything they do.
- They had to obey EVERYTHING Joshua said to them.
- They had to obey EVERY command God gave them; literally, eat, sleep, and breathe the Word.
This goes to you and me, too. God promised you He will never leave you nor forsake you.
- Be strong and courageous in everything you do.
- Be a disciplined person.
- Be wise about the Word of God, which will guide you along the way. Because God already gave us the land you so desired… or not!
He already gave you that ripe grain people are reluctant to find.
He already clothed you that power from on high.
He already gave you freedom. (Please use it wisely.)
He already gave you an awakening.
He already gave you a revival.
He gave you a CITY of Revival.
What are you going to do with it?
